Using Noxgild

Work with Files

How Noxgild reads and changes files inside authorized workspace roots.

Noxgild's Machine layer can work with files and directories inside the workspace roots authorized for a computer.

Common file work

The curated catalog includes capabilities for reading, listing, searching, writing, patching, copying, moving, deleting, appending, hashing, watching, and inspecting file metadata.

Noxgild also provides bounded tree, range, tail, existence, and workspace-root operations.

Workspace boundary

A file request is not an unrestricted filesystem primitive. Paths are handled by the local Machine worker and are expected to remain inside the computer's authorized workspace roots.

You can ask Noxgild to list those roots before starting work.

Writes and verification

Write operations use capability-specific retry and verification rules. Noxgild does not assume that a side effect is safe to repeat.

A verified file write, patch, copy, or move is recorded through the same durable command lifecycle used by other Noxgild work.

Deletes

File deletion is classified as destructive. A destructive request can stop and require explicit approval before it is dispatched.

Browser-derived content

If a session has consumed untrusted browser content, Noxgild can require additional approval before that content is allowed to pivot into Machine or Desktop control-even when the requested Machine capability would normally be read-only.

See Approvals & safety.
