Connect JetBrains AI to Noxgild, verify protected tool access, and run a real task.
Let JetBrains agents reach the computer, browser, and native tools around the IDE when a project-only workflow is not enough.
Setup tutorial
1. Install a current JetBrains IDE
- Open the official JetBrains download page.
- Install a current JetBrains IDE and launch it.
- Open the project you want to use.
2. Enable AI Assistant
- Open Settings.
- Make sure JetBrains AI Assistant is installed/enabled and sign in if the IDE asks.
- Return to Settings after AI Assistant is ready.
3. Open MCP settings
- Go to Settings → Tools → AI Assistant → Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Click Add to create a new MCP server.
- Choose the HTTP/remote server option.
4. Create a Noxgild Client Access Key
- Open your Noxgild account in the browser.
- Go to Security and create a Client Access Key for JetBrains.
- Copy the key when Noxgild shows it; the secret is shown once.
5. Configure Noxgild
- Name the server noxgild.
- Use the Noxgild MCP URL as the remote HTTP endpoint.
- Set the Authorization header to Bearer followed by the Client Access Key, then save/apply the server.

- Open AI Assistant chat in JetBrains.
- Paste the verification prompt below.
Use the connected Noxgild MCP server only. Call noxgild_devices and list my available computers and their current status.7. Confirm success
- Setup is complete when AI Assistant returns your authorized Noxgild computer and its status.
- In MCP settings, the Noxgild server should show as active/connected.
Before you start
- A current JetBrains IDE with AI Assistant and remote HTTP MCP support.
- A Noxgild Client Access Key created from the Security area.

Send this to your AI client after setup:
Use the connected Noxgild MCP server only. Call noxgild_devices and list my available computers and their current status.After authorization, send the verification prompt. You are connected when your authorized computer and its status appear.
Good first tasks
- Run this service on my test computer and verify the UI in the signed-in browser.
- Inspect the local process and logs while I work in IntelliJ.
- Open the native desktop client and verify the build.
Troubleshooting
- If the MCP server is not available to the AI Assistant, confirm the remote HTTP server configuration and Authorization header.
- Create a new least-privilege Client Access Key if the existing key was revoked or expired.
Connect a computer once
If you do not already have an authorized Windows, macOS, or Linux computer in Noxgild, run this in a terminal on that Windows, macOS, or Linux computer:
npx @noxgild/cli@latest connectAfter approval, the same computer can be reused from other supported AI clients.
